lux
2024exhibitiongenerative artrealtime

Presented as part of Unity in Variety at LOAD Gallery, Barcelona, Spain.
Custom software, Javascript, WebGL
Variable dimensions, silent, display-p3
lux features a series of emissive lines intertwined to create an intricate visual. As the lines slowly move, disappear, and reappear at different places on the canvas, a complex drawing gradually evolves.
The piece uses ray marching to compute the light for every pixel on the canvas. By tracing rays and calculating their interactions with the emissive lines, the algorithm determines the color and intensity of each pixel, resulting in detailed and dynamic lighting effects.
The realtime animation is implemented using JavaScript and WebGL. The dimensions are variable, allowing the installation to adapt to different spaces. This flexibility makes each presentation of the artwork unique.
The shifting lines and changing patterns invite viewers to engage with the evolving design, exploring the interplay between light, movement, and form.
